MINDFULNESS
According to the Oxford English Dictionary:

mind / ful / ness (noun)
"A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations...."
I used to think of mindfulness as something that sat apart from my normal daily activities--something that could only be done during meditation. As I continue on this amazing journey of learning and enlightenment, it has become clear just how wrong I was!
Mindfulness is something that we should strive to integrate into our lives as much as possible. Certainly, it is an important element of meditation, but it can also make many other experiences so much richer!

The animation below is five and a half minutes long, and really does try to make mindfulness simple. In it, you will see specific examples of how you can immediately begin incorporating mindfulness more fully--and intentionally--into many things that you do every day. I hope you enjoy it.

Mindfulness, intentional breathing, and meditation all work together to provide the maximum benefits to your life. Be sure to check out the Breathing and Meditation pages of this website, too.
