Meditation: Relax to "Snurring"
This meditation is just over four minutes. It's a quick way to relax during the day whenever you need a break. It is based on the natural sounds of our cat, Pip (that's his photo), as he slept up against me. I call the sound a "snurr," which is a mixture of a snore and a purr. I find it extremely centering and relaxing, and hope you do, too. One version is just the snurring, and the other is snurring with background music. Whichever you choose, breathe naturally and comfortably, try to focus on the rhythm of the "snurr," and allow your mind to clear. Click the buttons below, to play.

This is a short, five-minute meditation, focused simply on promoting mindful breathing.
VERY IMPORTANT: if you ever feel any discomfort at all, or are uncomfortable following the timed breathing, simply breathe normally and leave the meditation.

After a brief explanation of the 4-4-4 breath (inhale for a count of four, hold for a count of four, exhale for a count of four), we launch directly into the controlled breaths.
